Wow long time. Do I even know how to write anymore...

Where to start?

I have been so bored of my blog. I spent months planning to write things and upload them. I had files of images, and lists of ideas, but everytime I sat down to write, I would get half way through, and think, "this is trash" and discard it. I also felt that as I spent so much time away from my attempt to be consistent, on my comeback, I had to produce something pretty, pretty good. We all know COMPARISON IS THE THEIF OF JOY, but yet I spent a lot time doing just that.

I compared my writing style. I compared my topic choice. I compared fashion sense. You name it, anything to do with the blog, I was comparing it.

Although I had acheived some great things in 2017, and ticked off 5/7 of my 2017 goals, knowing that consistency and elevation of my blog was one of them, everytime I sat down to write, I felt pressure to produce something extra. To spill some extra hot sauce on it.

External pressure often motivates me. Internal pressure on the other hand does the complete opposite. In the end I just dropped everything. It was not until November where I sat down to write a blog post about my lack in self-motivation and low-mood, that I decided not to write until the new year. Funnily enough my initial motivation was not because I wanted to give myself some time, but becasue I always prided my posts in being somewhat postive; and that was definately wasnot the content I was producing.

With the aim of uplifiting myself and my blog I decided to add a video segment to the post. I did not want it to be a typical lookbook type of video, so I decided to do it in the park. I mean why not? I thought it would lighten up my posts and incorporate some of my character in there too.

I was not completly satisfied with the quality, or the editing, or the whole video after watching it several times; but I know that the more you look at your own pictures, videos, writing the more flaws you see in it. Sometimes the flaws add to the authenticity. Not to say that key errors should go unnoticecd but, we are only human; flaws are in our nature.

So to wrap this up and stop me from rambling, I wanted to put it up, because if I don't put this one up, I'll never find one I like. Enjoy the video, tell me what you think, if you want. It's the first one so, it is what it is homies.

DO NOT LET COMPARISON BE THE THEIF OF YOUR JOY THIS 2018.
